Windows 8 has finally got the update that people wanted. Direct boot into desktop, start button is back, improved customisation over tiles and IE11 but to name a few of its improvements.<\/p>\n
None of these are keeping people happy. In part, I cant blame them. IE11 seems to be incompatible with some key websites, RT users have had significant issues, to the point where Microsoft have now pulled the Windows 8 RT 8.1 update from their site and lastly, I am lead to believe that the install is 3.5Gb. I cant be sure if that last statement is true, but if it is, and you have a basic broadband package, thats going to eat quite heavily into it. Especially if you have more than one Windows 8 PC.<\/p>\n
Someone managed to categorize Microsoft to me the other day. I feel that its not a bad metaphor. They described Microsoft as a ship, blowing in the direction what ever the wind decides. To rudder and no real captain guiding the ship.<\/p>\n
There brand placement is lost. What does Apple stand for, innovation. Volvo, safety. Microsoft, no idea!<\/p>\n
