Is there an “Emergency Release” Delivery Method? #HyperScheduling

My experience with IT has been varied. Business Analysis, PMO, Support Manager, Project Manager and more recently a Delivery Manager.

One thing I have learnt over this ten year period is that soon isn’t soon enough.

Agile is something that has been around for some time now. With its various different flavours…

My experience in Support opened my eyes to excellent skills and ability when critic issues arise. Normally resulting in a fix to a complicated issue taking no more than a few hours to a maximum of a couple of days.

My thoughts are now this. What can we do to port that extreme focus and productivity to delivery.

CI (continuous improvement) is one such vehicle, but does also seem a bit limited when user involvement / analysis is required. A crashing of a form or Agile, Critical Support Issue Resolution and CI could result in extreme levels of value added to the business community in very short periods of time.

Managed correctly I personally feel its the way we can save money, add more value and create high performing, knowledgeable staff and produce more in a faster way…

#HyperScheduling anyone?
