It would appear that the slow death of windows live messenger has started.
It seems that the new #wp8 devices no longer have the ability to update the status on windows live. Instead you are forced to use the #wp8 device as a window onto the more established #linkedin, #Facebook and #twitter.
Previously the #wp7 devices allowed you to post status updates via the #me tile. Not on #wp8.
Its a shame as i personally liked the #windowslive software and didn’t use #yahoo or #aim.
Never mind.
