So, Instagram have come out and said that the interpretation of the way they worded the new TnCs were incorrect due to the confused way they set it out.
Given that this is a company of such a size (ultimately this company is FaceBook) and given the legal muscle that they have behind them (to ensure that they have correctly worded contracts – of which TnCs are like contracts) it seems sad to think that this has slipped through.
It would be wrong to assume that they worded it in the way they intended, that people noticed the wording opened up the door to them selling ‘our’ images for profit for them, which then spun into a social media storm, which has now forced them to change the wording because of that social media backlash?
Maybe the voice of the many does still make a difference. Starbucks and tax in the UK. Now a change to Instagram TnCs to there is no further confusion…
