I thought the news paper article in the Evening Standard was interesting. It stated / showed a selection of photos of Millwall fans who police wanted to speak to about the recent violence.
It dawned on me that the article was a rather archaic way of finding suspects.
Think of this. Facebook contains millions of photos. A lot of the meta data tagged with names of people. I have snap shots of peoples faces that I need to find. Why not just use the Facebook data to get the names of them?
Free applications such as Windows Live Photo Gallery do it on my 65000 photos. Running the same search against Facebook data wouldn’t be hard…
