So, you have just bought a new Windows 8 tablet and found that the amount of space on the device is pretty terrible. Well, at least not good enough to hold your music and desired back log of films. You decode that you can but an SD card, 32GB or 64GB to boost your storage on your device.
You add the media to the SD card, plug it into your tablet and attempt to add your SD card to your Media Player / Music Library . . . but it doesn’t work!!!!
“Sorry, you can’t not add a removable disk to a library” – what a joke!!!
There is a workaround. Simply go to your SD and add it as a network share. Share it with just you. Then, go back to your library and add the network share. Hey Presto, it works.
Don’t ask me why we can’t just add the SD card straight away. It makes little sense to me, but either way, executing this work around solves the problem!
