After the terrible patch released in December became major tech news Microsoft pulled it from their update programme.
They initially said that users wouldn’t expect a fix until some time next year.
Their tone, after quite a bit of media and social network pressure seems to have changed. They now state they are working on a patch over the Christmas period.
Good news for people like me who are left with a expensive digital photo frame instead of a high performance Surface Pro.
God alone knows how this mess occurred. They own the hardware, the software and the firmware and yet STILL managed to produce a poor quality release.
I’m not sure who they have outsourced this work to, but whoever it is better improve their quality else their contract with MS will probably come to an abrupt end…
