I am a bit of a Microsoft FanBoy. Tend to adopt their software quite early, adopt their hardware quite early. Normally within a fairly short period of it coming out.
More recently I have been fortunate enough to use their Windows 8 phone, their Surface and their Xbox One.
With each there has been major issues.
The Windows Phone 8 has a terrible bug which means whenever to connect a Bluetooth media device the music auto plays. Been a problem since their last major firmware update.
The Surface has had the worst software update I have ever known arrive in December which basically turned it into an EXTREMELT expensive photo frame.
The Xbox One Kinect stopped working within days of first use.
Searching the web for “Lumia Bluetooth Auto play”, or “surface pro 2 December update”, or “Xbox one Kinect not plugged in” shows just how high volume of people with these issues is.
None of these problems have been fixed by Microsoft. The Bluetooth issue has been outstanding for nearly a year. The Surface issue for about a month. The Xbox Kinect issue, about two months.
God only knows who is doing their QA at the moment, but whoever it needs to sort it out. It’s not good.
