So, #Facebook has turned a small app called #Moves “evil”. This app, which i used (notice the past tense) to help me see how many steps i was doing a day, was purchased by #Facebook a couple of weeks ago. At the announcement #Facebook said sounds such as the data wont be shared, service will remain the same, etc
Not too many days later the apps terms and conditions got updated and it now says that the data is open to parent company and third parties. That is what i have inferred anyway.
This data includes personal information and your location. Pretty powerful stuff in loaded together with the rest of Facebook.
I personally font like Facebook. For several people, some close to me, it seems to be a habit that they struggle to see is a problem its a bit like a drug, with the “spare” seconds during the day being filled with a swipe down on a small screen to get the latest update on the friends child burning their toast, or the kettle being broken in a house several hundreds of miles away.
I will be removing the Moves app from phone and never using it again…
