I don’t normally do this, but in this occasion I feel I have to. I personally enjoy cooking, but it is hard to fit it in with work and family commitments. We took a gamble a couple of weeks ago and dived into #HelloFresh. I wasn’t too convinced of it, but I have to say I really think its excellent.
HelloFresh is a service which creates meals, puts the list of options on a website, you pick which ones you want and for how many people, they package up the order and deliver all the ingredients to your door for you to cook the following week. You follow the fairly basic instructions (some stuff is easier than others) and you end up producing your dinner. The prep. and cooking time is normally about half an hour to an hour.
We have tried several foods over the last few weeks that we, quite frankly, wouldn’t have normally gone anywhere near and on a couple of occasions the food we have sat and ate has genuinely been something that we would have been happy to have eaten in a restaurant (this may well be down to my cooking skills! 😉
There has been one order where we had something missing (some peppers were missing from our order this week, but we worked around it) but otherwise it has been a godsend. Allowing me to get back into cooking and also allowing us to move away from pre-prepared food with the added bonus of us trying new and exciting foods. Gnocchi last weeks was superb and the chicken this week (see picture) was excellent.
@HelloFreshUK superb food, great idea. I’m sold!
