What in earth just happened. The #Conservatives have a majority of twelve. Ed has gone, Ed B has gone, god knows how many Lib Dems have been removed, Farage didn’t get in, Clegg has quit, the Respect MP has been removed and the SNP have destroyed Labour in Scotland.
The decimation of everything people thought they knew is on a scale that would never have been predicted…
Take poor old Paddy Ashdown. He has to eat a hat.
I am staggered by what has come about during the election. I am very nervous of what lies ahead. The Conservatives will really struggle, and I suspect that the back bench club (1922 club, or whatever it is called) are rubbing their hands with glee.
Not to mention the SNP has a very good shout in Westminster now. And the Tories and SNP are famous for their good working relationship.
LibDems and Labour have a lot of soul searching to do.
What happens next is going to be turbulent but fascinating…
