#iMessage is fine if you only use #Apple products

I am constantly looking at the offerings from all types of technology. To demonstrate this I must point out I use a macbook air, surface pro 2, iPad mini, galaxy note, windows phone 8 and an asus tf101. Not all at the same time.

One thing that is apparent is the inability for these things to talk to eachother effectively.

Being someone who mainly uses Microsoft I have lent towards the SkyDrive (OneDrive as it is now called after the legal battle with BSkyB). This is the only application that seems to work across the board.

My iphone images sync up to the cloud with my windows phone images. My documents can all be viewed as well on each device.

Things like iMessage, which is the native Apple Messaging app, don’t really help my cause, in fact the cause me trouble.
My wife calls me saying “didn’t you get my text?”, “no?” i say. Only to quickly realise she replied to a message i sent on my iPad which lands on the same conversation tree as my text messages on her iphone. When she replies it, thinking she is texting, it goed back to my iPad, not to my cell phone.

Its a bit of a pain…
