I don’t understand why all phones don’t have a micro SD card.
Firstly, they increase the storage on your phone, but more importantly they ensure data doesn’t get lost.
I recently managed to break the digitizer on my #Lumia 820. The thing turns on, but can’t use the touch screen.
Now, I have my phone set up to upload to #OneDrive (#SkyDrive) with high resolution images. This means it only uploads video, photo, etc on WiFi. I don’t keep WiFi on because of the battery drain.
The scenario I had was I hadn’t had WiFi on for a while and the lost screen access to the phone. Any photos, text and videos are not accessible because the screen is locked. To access it you need to unlock it. This includes trying to access via usb.
Luckily for me any images and video are saved directly to my micro SD. I was able to quickly take out the memory card and have access to all those photos. Saving any heart ache.
Unless and / until Microsoft give you a way to unlock our phone via usb, then a micro SD has to be the way forward.
